Travel Innovator Review – TrustYou

Benjamin Jost from TrustYouBenjamin Jost from TrustYou presented their latest innovation, the Semantic Magic Box.  The Magic Box analyzes the contents of a review and identifies the meaningful statements within the review content.  By analyzing the content, TrustYou can provide the sentiment of reviews.  Jost claims to provide intelligent results to search by matching the sentiment of the user to the reviews that have been analyzed. Jost goes on to say that the platform currently supports multiple languages and will analyze results across multiple languages and regions.

The reviews are aggregated and presented in a side by side comparison showing overall results, both positive and negative.  The benefit to the user is that the results are compiled in a meaningful way instead of simply listing reviews chronologically.

For hoteliers, the TrustYou platform gives managers the ability to review sentiment from the crowd as well as an overall view of customer experiences.  TrustYou also allows the hoteliers to post updates to various social networks based on where customers are aggregating and posting reviews, photos, or videos.

T4 Review: I like the platform a lot.  The ability for hotels to track and report on sentiment and not just star ratings is an important aspect of customer service and guest management.  The combination of front-end user tools and back office reporting make the offering quite compelling.  The challenge for TrustYou will be to keep the interface simply and compelling while still being useful for hoteliers.
