Travel Innovator Review – Revinate

Kyle Duffy presented Revinate, an online tool to help hotels manage their online reputation and social media. Duffy is asking the question, why don’t hotels have a good grasp on their on-line reputation? Revinate is 100% specialized for the hotel space.

Duffy explained that the key to feature of Revinate is the dashboard which allows the hotel to read and respond to reviews from the major review websites.  At a glance, it appears that Revinate grabs the content for the reviews and displays them in a review inbox for the hotelier.  The hotelier can then read the review, email the review to another administrative user, or click on a link that takes them directly to the review site.

Revinate also integrates with Twitter and Facebook to gather and aggregate user generated content around their brand or specific keywords. This plus the aggregation of reviews gives Revinate the ability to create, what Duffy claims, is the first industry score card. Duffy hopes Revinate will become the gold standard for hospitality.

T4 Review: The model seems solid.  A software as a service subscription based system that allows hotels to track their on-line reputation.  Revinate claims 1000 active users already and is seeing relatively strong growth.  I think an interesting opportunity for Revinate will be to find ways to allow PMS providers to integrate directly with the tool and provide a homogeneous experience for the hotelier.
